A recent poll shows an anti-choice extremist just one point behind me in Wisconsin’s critical Senate race. That’s a statistical tie, but there’s another reason this number stands out to me…

1% was the GOP’s margin of victory in Wisconsin’s Senate race last year after Republicans spent $77 million to defend Sen. Ron Johnson.

The fact of the matter is that Wisconsin is known for nail-biter elections. Political experts are already expecting our race to be highly competitive next year, but it’s also going to be extremely expensive. In fact, I have no doubt this will be the most expensive campaign I’ve ever run.

Republicans are poised to spend $125 million (or more!) to attack my record and flip Wisconsin red. It’s going to take a lot of time and resources to build a grassroots campaign strong enough to fight back.
