Hey John – Governor Steve Beshear here. I'm reaching out today to talk about my son, Andy.

I grew up in Dawson Springs – a community that is so typical of many of the other rural towns in Kentucky. It was there I learned about the importance of caring about and taking care of each other. These are the Kentucky values I passed along to my children, and I'm so proud of who they've grown up to be.

Andy has brought the Kentucky values he grew up with into the governor's office and has fought every day for Kentuckians in every corner of the Commonwealth. He's done a heck of a job as governor, and he's committed to moving our Commonwealth forward. But he needs our help to win this tough race in just a few months.

I couldn't be more proud of Andy. He's always put partisan politics aside in order to do what's right for Kentuckians – and he's made great progress. Since coming to office, Andy has helped create thousands of new jobs, invested in our Commonwealth's infrastructure, expanded access to affordable health care, and helped communities recover from devastating natural disasters.

But the next few months won't be easy. Election experts are calling this the most competitive race in the nation this year, and dark money groups are once again spending big to defeat Andy. If Andy's going to win this November and continue making progress for Kentucky, he needs all of us by his side.
