July 29, 2024; exactly a year from today.

There are plenty of challenges we’ll face between now and then that I’d never be able to predict, but I can say a couple of things with certainty, folks:

• I’ll have a right-wing Republican opponent who’s anti-choice, anti-science, and pro-unrestricted gun access
• My opponent will be absolutely rolling in GOP megadonor dough
• I’ll be working against the clock to meet my End-of-Month fundraising goal in the midst of yet another “Summer Slump”
• The stakes of this election will be even greater and more immediate than they are right now

So while that may all sound gloomy, there are things we can do right now to set ourselves up for success in a year:

• Invest in canvassing and voter registration efforts early
• Build an impressive war chest to pre-empt the flood of right-wing spending in IL-06
• Expand our network of small-dollar, grassroots supporters
• Devise a smart and flexible strategy for whatever the GOP has in store

So there it is, folks – our plan to defeat the GOP and keep IL-06 blue. Now, will you invest $15 ahead of our critical End-of-Month deadline and send us down the right path to win this race?
