Dear John,
By now, only people living in caves have not heard of the passionate, inspiring group Extinction Rebellion. But do you know their history? Do you understand their philosophy? Are you interested in getting involved in their work? If so, CCAN Action Fund would like to invite you to “An evening with Extinction Rebellion DC.”
If you’re like me, you swing between feelings of real despair over the latest climate news to feelings of total inspiration over the leadership of people like Greta Thunberg. And one of the groups that intrigues and inspires me the most is Extinction Rebellion. The group’s creative civil disobedience over climate change in England has now spread to the United States. It was on full display in DC last September when many organizations joined together to #ShutdownDC. CCAN Action Fund is a respected, leading voice in the climate movement in our region. We look forward to discussing the latest science, public fears, and successful tactics related to the climate movement with our new friends at Extinction Rebellion. I hope I see you on March 10.
