Addressing CCP Hacking And IP Theft As We Secure Continued U.S. Tech Leadership

On Wednesday, the Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) held its latest hearing, on U.S. leadership in critical and emerging technologies in the 21^st century. The week before that, our committee held a hearing focused on the Biden Administration’s strategy in dealing with the CCP. Both hearings provided the American people an opportunity to hear how our country is working to increase our competitiveness and ensure we come out on top in the global economic and security competition for the 21^st century.

During our most recent hearing, one thing was clear: the race to come out on top in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and other emerging technologies isn’t just about gaining an economic or military advantage, it’s about two distinct systems competing against one another to determine the values that will be embedded in the foundational technologies of day-to-day life. In our committee, we are doing everything we can to ensure the American system, one built on freedom and democracy, wins this competition.

Upcoming Mobile Office Hours

If you are unable to make it to our district office in Schaumburg, our staff is available at mobile office hours throughout the district. Share your concerns, questions, issues and get help navigating federal agencies at convenient locations across the district.

Our Next Pingree Grove Office Hours: Tuesday, August 1^st: 12:00pm – 4:00pm at the Pingree Grove Municipal Center at 555 Reinking Rd, Pingree Grove, IL RSVP HERE.

We will continue to hold additional office hours in Pingree Grove on the first Tuesday of each month: September 5^th, October 3^rd, November 7^th, and December 5^th.

Our Next Des Plaines Office Hours: Tuesday, August 15^th: 9:30am – 11:30am in the Des Plaines Public Library at 1501 Ellinwood St, Des Plaines, IL RSVP HERE.

We will continue to hold additional office hours in Des Plaines on the second Tuesday of every other month: October 10^th and December 12^th.

Our Next Wood Dale Office Hours: Tuesday, August 15^th: 10:00am – 1:00pm in the Wood Dale Public Library at 520 N Wood Dale Rd, Wood Dale, IL RSVP HERE.

We will continue to hold additional office hours in Wood Dale on the third Tuesday of each month: September 19^th, October 13^th, November 21^st, and December 19^th.
