Moji and I are still buzzing from recording this episode for a live audience in Atlanta!
We packed the house at Terminal West - a dope comedy and music venue - and fed off all the vibezzzzzzz.
Our amazeballs guests were Agbo Ikor, Kwajelyn Jackson, and Inyang Njoku, who are incredible Georgia Reproductive Justice activists and abortion providers. We talked with them about all the issues in Georgia around the six week abortion ban, the insidious rise of fake clinics, and how Cop City is a huge Reproductive Justice issue.
Their insights, wisdom and SOLUTIONS had the whole audience clamoring to sign up to volunteer at all the local activist info tables!
Comedian Baron Vaughn hilariously shared why he moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles, the challenges of raising kids in this current hellscape, and why the Writers Guild of America/Screen Actors Guild strikes are something we all should care about. Plus, we had the BEST fake TV Lawyer™ doing a very special fake commercial!
Dooks had the audience laughing and raging with the news of the week, and as always, Moji and I broke down the stories that made steam blow out of our wherevers. Fetus lawyers? Abortion reporting across state lines? It’s just as creepy as it sounds.
This pod is a must listen and we CANNOT wait to do it again in a town near you! Connecting with y’all in person is EVERYTHING!
XO Lizz and Moji
