96 'Bidenomics' Strikes AgainEarlier this month, President Joe
Biden claimed that "Bidenomics" is "just another way of saying restoring
the American Dream.”

Yet, his policies have made that very dream
increasingly out of reach for millions of Americans. Just a few months
ago, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen confirmed as much, agreeing that
President Biden's inflationary spending set the stage for the Federal
Reserve to need to increase interest rates. And just this week, they did
it again, raising rates for the 11th time to their highest level in over
two decades.

Now, prices aren't just higher, but borrowing to afford
them is, too. Homeownership, long a central tenet of the American Dream
that President Biden claims he is restoring, has become more difficult,
as the average 30-year mortgage rate has been pushed above 7 percent for
the first time in years. But it's not just mortgages ... auto loans,
credit cards ... everything is just more expensive.

This is
"Bidenomics" in action, and we can't afford four more years of it.

We
hope you'll join us in working to make Joe Biden a one-term president
next year.

Sincerely,
Chairman Kyle Hupfer

Governor Holcomb's Week That WasKicking Off the 2023 State
Fair Governor Eric Holcomb provides remarks at the opening of the 166th
Indiana State Fair.
Governor Eric Holcomb joined others to officially
kick off the 166th Indiana State Fair today.
The fair's theme this year
is "Celebrating Basketball: The State That Grew the Game."Timeout: Gov.
Holcomb is a big fan of basketball, having made a basket in all of
Indiana's 92 counties.
What he’s saying: “This morning we officially
opened the Indiana State Fair for the best 18 days of summer," Gov.
Holcomb stated in a social media post today.
"I cannot wait to see what
all the 2023 Indiana State Fair has to offer. I have a feeling that this
year's fair is going to be a slam dunk," he added. Catch up: Last week,
Gov. Holcomb joined other state and agricultural leaders to cut the
ribbon on the Indiana State Fairgrounds’ new Indiana Farm Bureau Fall
Creek Pavillion.
The indoor complex is the result of a multi-year
renovation of the fairgrounds' century-old swine barn.

Mayoral Feature: Ron Oler for Richmond We've long talked
about our deep bench of talent across the state. And in this year's
municipal elections, it's certainly showing.

The candidate: Ron Oler
is a lifelong resident of Richmond and Wayne County. Ron is a three-term
councilman with a strong history of maintaining fiscal responsibility
despite his entire tenure being under a democrat-controlled mayor’s
office.

  National
Review: McCarthy: Hunter Biden’s Sweetheart Plea Deal Blows UpFrom
Andrew McCarthy at
[link removed]
l-blows-up/ National Review:

"‘Does this mean he goes to trial now?'
"This was one of the questions I was naturally asked while doing some
legal analysis of the Delaware Demolition in which Hunter Biden’s
sweetheart plea deal went up in smoke on Wednesday.

"My reply: 'Go
to trial . . . on what?'

"That should be a dumb question to which
the usual answer is, “The indictment, of course.” But see, here’s the
thing: President Biden’s Justice Department has never filed an
indictment against President Biden’s son. Why? Well, for the same
reason the sweetheart deal blew up. The fatal flaw of the agreement
written by Biden prosecutors is that it failed to describe in detail
the criminal charges for which Hunter Biden was receiving immunity.

Indiana Capital Chronicle: 'Game Changer' Bill Aims to
Revolutionize Mental Health Care SystemFrom
[link removed]
o-revolutionize-mental-healthcare-system/ Indiana Capital Chronicle:
"Several weeks ago, Porter-Starke Services — one of Indiana’s 24
community mental health clinics — received a call. A person was
experiencing a mental health crisis and was suicidal, but the office
was closing.

"The only option left was Starke County’s hospital,
which Sandy Carlson, Porter-Starke’s vice president of clinical
services, said is small and not equipped to manage psychiatric
patients. A crisis that began around 5 p.m. took until the early
morning hours to stabilize the patient through hospitalization.

"But
under the mental health care transformation shepherded by Senate
Enrolled Act 1, the individual could have gotten the help they needed
in a more efficient and effective way."

 House Republicans Keeping
'Commitment to America'[link removed]
Yesterday, shortly after U.S. House Republicans voted to pass the
military construction-Veterans Affairs appropriations bill, Speaker of
the House Kevin McCarthy held a press conference outlining how the
Republican conference is keeping their
[link removed] Commitment to America.

Just a
sampling: Speaker McCarthy and other House leadership touched on a long
list of accomplishments just seven months into their new majority.
Highlights included passing the Parents Bill of Rights and the
strongest-ever border security bill, creating a bipartisan Select
Committee on China, enacting the first pro-energy permitting reform in
40 years, defunding President Biden’s army of 87,000 IRS agents, and
securing the largest pay raise for service members in decades. But
wait, there's more: Speaker McCarthy also emphasized the work being
done by House Republicans to hold the Biden administration accountable,
including "conducting oversight of where taxpayer dollars are going and
uncovering further evidence of our nation’s two-tier system of
justice."

SEA 35 Will Improve Financial Literacy for Young
Hoosiers During the 2023 session, the legislature passed, and Governor
Holcomb signed, SEA 35, placing Indiana among the states that guarantee
a personal financial literacy class for all high school graduates.
The details: SEA 35 requires high school students, beginning with the
class of 2028, to successfully complete a personal financial literacy
course in order to graduate.
“It’s important for every student to have
this. I think it will pay in dividends throughout the rest of their
lives," said state Sen. Mike Gaskill. Biden is Manufacturing Half
Truths From
[link removed]
/ FactCheckBiden.com:

In his latest absurd claim, President Joe Biden
wants Americans to believe that he has created more jobs in a single
four-year term than any other president. Yet, Biden’s numbers ignore
that 80% of the jobs he claims to have “created” were recovered when
Americans returned to work post-Covid.
Swing and a miss: Biden’s
failed economic agenda has been much more of a bust than a boom for
manufacturing workers in critical swing states.
In Pennsylvania, Biden
claims to have “created” 28,000 new manufacturing jobs - but the truth
is Biden has created
[link removed] zero “new” jobs in
the Keystone State that didn’t exist before the COVID-19 pandemic.
In
Wisconsin, Biden claims to have “created” 20,000 new manufacturing jobs
- but the truth is [link removed]
over 80 percent of those jobs in the Badger State were recovered from
reopening the economy after the COVID-19 pandemic.
Not only are
manufacturing numbers worse than Biden has projected, shrinking
activity is leading to

What is true: Bidenomics has not led to a

and lower wages.
