Dear Friends,
The Connecticut River Valley has been decimated by severe flooding this summer. Many farms in our region have lost hundreds of acres of crops and people have been put out of work, leaving families and farmers feeling uncertain about their future.
I led the Connecticut delegation in support of a Disaster Designation for local farmers impacted by flooding and continue to work in Congress to secure direct relief and enact reforms to existing federal programs to better address the needs of specialty crop growers.
On Tuesday, August 1st, at 10:00 AM, I will be hosting a roundtable at Glastonbury Town Hall to provide an update on our efforts, discuss resources available to farmers, and hear directly from the community on this critical issue.
Please RSVP here if you will be attending.
If you’d like to submit a question in advance, you can do so here. Should you have any questions about the event, or my office can assist you, please call 860-278-888.
The roundtable will be held in the Council Chambers at Glastonbury Town Hall on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023, at 10:00 AM.
Glastonbury Town Hall 2155 Main Street Glastonbury, CT 06033
Regards,
John B. Larson
Member of Congress
