My name is Zeke Jackson. This spring I am working for the Minnesota DFL as a fundraising intern. I wanted to reach out to introduce myself and thank you for supporting our work!

I’ve been studying a number of different subjects at the University of Minnesota, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to defend the integrity of our politics and help keep Minnesota blue this November.

One of the most interesting parts of my internship so far has been learning about the budget and how it affects the organizing operation. I can tell you first-hand that low-dollar contributions are an irreplaceable source of our funding, and this week, we’re still trailing behind our budget targets.

I did the math myself this morning and we still need 437 individual contributions by Friday to catch up.

The stakes of our work this year couldn’t be higher. The pressure is on and day in and day out everyone on this team is rising to the occasion, for K-12 and higher education, LGBTQIA+ rights, solutions to the climate crisis, workers’ rights, and more.
