It is with immense enthusiasm and determination that I write to you today, urging you and all your friends and family to sign the ERA Petition. Last week I traveled with an ERA busload of strong advocates to Seneca Falls, New York, where suffragist Alice Paul first introduced the Equal Rights Amendment a hundred years ago.
The atmosphere at Seneca Falls was electric, and spirits were soaring as we commemorated the ERA’s 100th anniversary, I would like to share some of this energy with you.

The event was not just about honoring the past; it was about igniting the passion and urgency needed to secure gender equality once and for all by enshrining the ERA into the Constitution.
I was filled with pride for our movement. Our journey has been very difficult and long — too long — yet the strides we have made, and the setbacks we have endured, inspire us to keep marching forward. This mission is within our grasp, and together, we can ensure that the ERA will be enshrined in the U.S. Constitution.
As we fight for the ERA, the women of the world are watching. We stand shoulder to shoulder with those who are fighting gender apartheid and blatant inequality around the world. As we fight for equality here, we demand that gender apartheid be declared an international crime against humanity.
The ERA is just one step away from becoming a part of our Constitution, and you can make a difference. Take action now by signing the ERA petition. Every signature counts and sends a powerful message and brings to life the polls, which show that we are the overwhelming majority of the country demanding equality for all.
Your unwavering commitment to the Equal Rights Amendment is crucial, John. We’re almost there. Please sign the ERA Petition and pass it on to others, so our numbers continue to rise.

By signing the petition, we are conveying to Congress that the overwhelming majority of voters support the ERA. Let’s make sure they know that some 85% of voters support the ERA.

Together, let’s keep marching forward to a future where the denial of rights based on sex is eliminated.
For equality,
