Stopping Laws with Discriminatory Intent Now more than ever, public officials appear to have no shame in passing laws that lower the bar for dignity and the rule of law in our nation. We’ve just sued the state of Florida to challenge the constitutionality of S.B. 168, which compels law enforcement officials to racially profile immigrants based on nothing other than their appearance. This is a law that was designed in close collaboration with anti-immigrant hate groups and has very real discriminatory intent. We will not yield in our fight for justice and against anti-immigrant hate legislation.
