This battle has now shifted to states like North Carolina and Pennsylvania as well as the floor of the House where 100 representatives are demanding a floor vote on term limits. In North Carolina the state house already voted in favor of the Term Limits Convention. But it's tough going in the state senate. However, our recent victory in Oklahoma proves that our state-by-state strategy works. Ads, grassroots, door-to-door! Please, give whatever you can. It is really urgent that you act today. Then, there is Washington, D.C. where the professional politicians are trying to block a vote on House Joint Resolution 11, the term limits amendment. One hundred members of the House now cosponsor this bill. However, the career politicians know term limits is popular and don't want to have to go on record as opposing it with a vote on our resolution. So we are fighting there as well. We have the momentum. Practically every day Congress does something that reminds the American people that we need term limits. Just think of anti-term limits senators Mitch McConnell and Dianne Feinstein. McConnell "froze up" and couldn't speak during a press conference the other day. And Feinstein was caught arguing with her staff over how she was supposed to vote on a bill up for consideration! We wish both of these senators well. But the fact is they should have been forced to retire DECADES ago! We need term limits. And U.S. Term limits needs your help today. Please do whatever you can immediately. By bypassing Congress and calling the Term Limits Convention and forcing a vote on term limits in the U.S. House, we will put the American people back in charge of their government. Onward!
