John,
Animals raised on large industrial farms (factory farms) endure abuse from the day they are born, experiencing high rates of illness and stress. They’re kept in unsanitary and closely confined conditions, often forced to stand in their own waste and unable to practice normal behaviors.
Factory farms are a cruel place to raise farm animals. They pollute our air and water and hold us back from building a sustainable food system. We must do better. That’s why Food & Water Action is working to end factory farms.
Join our campaign to ban factory farming once and for all by making a gift to Food & Water Action today.

It’s not enough to simply advocate for improved regulations on factory farms. To create a better food system and more humane conditions for farmed animals, we must dismantle the entrenched political power that corporate agriculture has amassed and ban factory farms.
So far this year, over 9,000 Food & Water Action supporters have messaged their members of Congress in support of the Farm System Reform Act – critical legislation that would place an immediate moratorium on the construction of new or expanding factory farms, with a phaseout of existing large facilities by 2040.
Our momentum is proving that when people mobilize around workable strategies, we can beat the influence of Big Ag’s big money on our policies. But it’s going to take your ongoing commitment to ban factory farms in the coming years. We can’t win this long-term fight without you.

Together, we’re fighting in support of a food system that is healthy, sustainable, and equitable – one that builds rural communities, values workers, and respects consumers.
From Oregon to Iowa to Maryland, we’re organizing, speaking out, and rallying across the country — all to protect our environment, communities, and animals from the dangers and cruelties of factory farms.
John, will you join us in our work for a better food system by making a gift to Food & Water Action today?
