As Republican presidential hopefuls flock to the Midwest to sell their divisive brand of culture-war politics, Minnesota is drawing the roadmap for a brighter path forward.

This morning, I was honored to stand with Democratic leaders in Iowa to highlight our victories in Minnesota this year and call out the Republican presidential field’s open embrace of extremism and policies that are deeply out of step with our values as Midwesterners and Americans.

From bullying the LGBTQ+ community to banning books to ripping away reproductive rights, this GOP presidential primary is a race to pander to the most extreme elements of the MAGA base, and regular Americans are caught in the middle of it.

I believe with all my heart that we will rise above the politics of fear and division and win next year. But we can’t stop working to make sure no community is left behind and nobody gets told they don’t belong.

To keep the MAGA agenda out of the White House and out of Minnesota, we’re going to need to fight with everything we’ve got over the next year and a half, and that starts with reaching our monthly fundraising goal by Monday.
