State of Texas:
- Texas Republicans are pushing their extreme agenda. This year alone, they’ve worked together to attack voting rights, strip reproductive freedom, and ban books.
- Instead of challenging these extreme bills, Ted Cruz has gone on record supporting insurrectionists and has voted against investments in Medicaid, education, children’s health, and worker protection programs.
- Texas Republicans’ extreme agenda has done nothing to fix the grid or reduce the burden on working Texans.
Campaign Status:
- This is a contentious race. Ted Cruz’s campaign raised $4.4 million in his re-election campaign.
- This is officially a battleground seat. CNN has named Ted Cruz one of the most vulnerable Senate Republicans, and FiveThirtyEight has said Texas is one of the best pickup opportunities for Democrats.
- This is our first fundraising deadline since our launch, meaning all eyes will be on us to see if we’re a top contender to take on Ted Cruz. We need to show up in numbers.
We’ve already had thousands of people donate since launching this campaign, but we need another 2,000 Founding Donors to give before the end of July.
