In just a few days, you’ll likely be reading a lot of emails about one thing: an FEC deadline.
You get the basic gist -- we set weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals because, by federal law, our fundraising numbers become public knowledge at the end of each quarter. At the end of February, we’ll be halfway through the first quarter of 2020 (which is a big deal!), so a lot of folks will be checking in about their mid-quarter fundraising goals. But, here on Team Golden, we measure those numbers a little differently.
When we report how much we’ve raised and from how many people, Jared and our team want everyone to see what we see: A powerful movement of people coming together around our shared values.
Jared and more than 40 of his colleagues in the House have rejected corporate PAC money and they joined together to push House leaders to pass the largest anti-corruption and campaign finance reform legislation through the House since Watergate.
