[link removed] [[link removed]] John,

The legal developments are coming fast and furious this week: The Department of Justice added new charges against Donald Trump and a new defendant in the classified documents case, accusing them of a broad scheme to conceal evidence from investigators by scrubbing security footage, and adding another document to the list of national security records that he put in danger.

Meanwhile, it looks like another federal indictment for Donald Trump is on the way—this time for his actions to overturn the 2020 election. These are important developments, and we’ll keep you updated as we learn more. But we also wanted to make sure one key piece of news didn’t get lost in the shuffle:

Rudy Giuliani concedes he made false statements about two Georgia election workers
Rudy Giuliani admitted that while acting as Donald Trump’s lawyer, he made false statements that two Georgia election workers mishandled ballots while counting votes in Atlanta during the 2020 election.

It’s hard to overstate the importance of this admission.

Rudy Giuliani has been a key figure in the Georgia criminal investigation into efforts by Donald Trump and his allies to overturn his election loss in the state. His admission adds to the evidence that Trump and his surrogates inundated Georgia residents and officials with disinformation before and after the 2020 election.

We know that a potential indictment is coming Trump’s way in Georgia — and this may help build the case.

Fulton County prosecutors have spent over two years probing efforts by Trump and his allies to overturn the 2020 election in Georgia.

And John, CREW’s been fighting this even longer.

We filed a criminal complaint about Donald Trump's effort to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election results on January 4th, 2021. Little did we know what would happen two days later.

Trump’s efforts to overturn the election results in Georgia were extraordinary and the facts are clear:

*
On
Election
Day
2020,
even
though
votes
were
still
being
counted,
Trump
announced
that
it
was
“clear
that
[he
had]
won
Georgia.”
*
In
the
following
days,
he
also
alleged
that
military
ballots
in
Georgia
were
“missing.”
Those
ballots
were,
in
fact,
counted.
*
Trump
used
surrogates,
including
attorneys
Rudy
Giuliani,
Jenna
Ellis
and
John
Eastman,
to
pressure
the
Georgia
legislature
to
disregard
the
certified
popular
vote
totals
and
take
unlawful
action
so
that
he
could
claim
the
state’s
16
electoral
votes.
*
Trump’s
team
took
the
extraordinary
and
unlawful
step
of
recruiting
and
organizing
a
group
of
Georgia
residents
to
serve
as
fake
electors
to
cast
Georgia’s
16
Electoral
College
votes
for
Trump.
*
Finally,
Trump
called
Georgia
Secretary
of
State
Brad
Raffensperger,
pressuring
him
to
“find”
11,780
votes,
the
exact
number
needed
to
flip
the
state’s
vote
tally.

These actions are not only far outside of the norm — truly inconceivable for any other candidate in any other race — but they are very likely criminal. That’s why CREW filed a complaint and called for an investigation.

We’ve taken action from day one of Trump’s presidency to hold him accountable — and we won't stop now.
