George Santos used political connections to fuel get-rich-quick schemes
We already know that George Santos has been charged with 13 felonies for allegedly misrepresenting his earnings, collecting $24,000 in unemployment benefits while being employed, and pocketing $50,000 from what were supposed to be campaign donations.
But you might not know that -- in the year leading up to his Congressional run -- Santos used his political connections to create shady moneymaking opportunities.
According to the New York Times, Santos founded a political consulting group that he marketed to other Republicans. He sought to profit from the Covid crisis by using campaign connections, and solicited investments for and from political donors.
He lied about payments, fabricated stories to win business, and misrepresented just about everything to make money.
We all know what happened next: He ran for Congress on endless lies and somehow managed to win. George Santos is a disgrace. So I’m running against him to restore honor and integrity to the U.S. Congress.
Santos is a liar, fraudster, and thief. New Yorkers deserve better.
Thanks for supporting my campaign,
Anna Kaplan
P.S. You can read the full New York Times report here -- and I hope you do! It’s shocking, but not surprising, that this man is in Congress.
