Thank you for following along on my journey in Congress. It has been a busy two weeks in Washington. While it is an honor serving TX-13 in our nation's capital, I am looking forward to the district work period this August where I will have some quality time back in TX-13!

Coronavirus Hearing

The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic held a hearing yesterday to examine the impact of COVID-19 vaccine mandates. As a physician, it baffles me how the government, under the Biden administration, deceived and mislead the public on the effectiveness of the vaccine and eroded patient-physician trust with one-size-fits-all solutions. The Biden administration disregarded medical freedom, patient-physician relationships, and scientific standards to impose a novel vaccine on millions of Americans with insufficient evidence to support their mandates. I will not stop fighting to ensure that the government overreach that weakened our military and destroyed livelihoods never happens again.

Lesser Prairie-Chicken

Yesterday, I took to the floor to voice my support of legislation to protect landowners and prohibit the Lesser Prairie-Chicken from being relisted as an endangered species. Putting the Lesser Prairie-Chicken back on the endangered species list would have Washington bureaucrats micromanaging private land in the Texas Panhandle, forcing farmers, ranchers, and landowners to make expensive changes that would hurt rural America. This effort by the Biden administration is blatant government overreach that seeks to destroy the agriculture industry and the livelihoods of those who depend on it!

My remarks below:

Rural Hospitals

Last week, I introduced the Rural Hospital Technical Assistance Program Act to protect and strengthen rural hospitals. Rural America is facing a hospital closure crisis that needs to be addressed immediately. My legislation will help prevent rural hospitals from shutting their doors and help them strengthen the health care services they provide. Ensuring Americans in rural communities, especially those in Texas' Thirteenth Congressional District, have access to health care is imperative. We still have a long road ahead to solve this crisis, but I will ALWAYS fight for rural communities.

On Friday, July 21, I joined Hannity on Fox News to underscore his take on the brazen corruption of the Biden family, the ongoing DOJ coverup of their crimes, and what the House Republicans are doing to uncover these crimes. The dam is breaking on Biden's criminal empire!

Border Crisis

The Biden administration continues to fail Americans in solving the border crisis! The Texas Republican delegation, led by Rep. Arrington, held a press conference yesterday to defend Texas' right to secure the border. If Joe Biden, a puppet of the radical left, refuses to secure our border, then Texas has a constitutional right to do so. I stand with Governor Abbott in fighting this egregious lawsuit from the Biden administration prohibiting him from defending our border. Border states, and America, cannot depend on Biden for help in preventing border crossings!

Sound of Freedom Showing

The insane left has gone out of their way to discourage you from seeing a movie about saving children. These people are sick and we must do everything in our power to combat the humanitarian crisis of child sex trafficking! I urge you to go see this powerful movie. A huge thanks to Speaker McCarthy for hosting Tim Ballard and James Caviezel for a showing of Sound of Freedom. God's children are not for sale!

Wounded Warrior Foundation Reception

There was a great showing at a reception for the Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation held at Reed Beverage in Amarillo! I had an outstanding time visiting with Chairman Richard Goetz and Vice Chairman Steve Braley with the Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation, along with two great Amarillo City Council Members Don Tipps and Tom Scherlen. Thank you to all who came out to golf and more importantly, thank you for your service!
