6th Annual South Texas Adolescent Health Summit

Professionals from the Rio Grande Valley will be gathering for advanced training and technical support and access a network of experts with the latest information and best practices around adolescent health and more. Continuing Education credits for multiple disciplines will be provided. Virtual only Aug. 23 and in-person only in McAllen Aug. 24.

TFYHI Program Wins Honorable Mention

Our Texas Foster Youth Health Initiative program (TFYHI) was awarded an Honorable Mention from the World Association for Sexual Health for Excellence and Innovation in Sexuality Education!

“Addressing racial and geographic inequities requires expanding access to resources,” said Jen Biundo, Senior Director of Policy and Research at Healthy Futures of Texas, “Hispanic & Black teens in Dallas have the highest birth rate out of surveyed demographics. Birth rates for Hispanic teens are 3.5 times higher than white teens.”
