At a recent AAPC webinar, experts
shared tips on finding the right message (what you say) +
voice (how you say it) to create a winning brand. Here
are 5 things to keep in mind:
1. A Picture’s Worth
People care more about your candidate’s photo than you think. Try testing out
different poses, background locations, outfits, etc.
2. Authenticity Wins
You can have a great message, but if your voice is off it won’t resonate with
voters. Voters are (typically) choosing the candidate that is most authentic.
3. Follow
the Leaders High profile politicians drive political design trends (think
AOC, Biden-Harris, and the Trump campaign logos).
4. Save Time & Money
Start designing your logo in black and white. Once you’ve landed on a design
you can start playing around with different colors. Saves a lot of time and headache.
5.
Go Long Don’t be afraid to go long! Have faith in our voters. If you
take the time to present it in a creative way, voters will read your long form branding!
