Jeez... is he really this heartless?? ? ? ? ? Friend ? this is bad and we need your help. This past week, Trump put out his official proposal for the next federal budget. Buried within it is a major cut to the EPA's Superfund program, which is tasked with the investigation and cleanup of hazardous waste sites.

This is outrageous. These toxic sites are disproportionately located in communities of color and low-income communities, threatening lives on a daily basis. The program is already underfunded, facing its biggest backlog in 15 years.

But it's not over yet. Trump doesn't get to set the budget alone ? this horrendous budget is going to spark a big battle in Congress.

We need every single representative to hear from their constituents and know where we stand. We need to start lighting up the phones, and for that we need to organize immediately. We can't do this without your help.

The best thing you can do right now is to make an emergency contribution. A donor has agreed to triple match every donation through the end of the month.

Friend, we CAN block this disastrous proposal ? but we need all hands on deck. Your contribution will go THREE TIMES as far to helping us organize ? even $5 will make a big difference ? [link removed]

Since Trump took office, the number of stalled hazardous waste cleanups has skyrocketed. The Superfund program works to identify and clean up those sites, and, crucially, holds polluters accountable.

Trump's budget proposal also includes a 26% overall cut to the EPA, and has singled out programs that help reduce lead and radon, as well as clean water programs in disadvantaged communities. We can't let this stand.

We CAN win this, but we need to act fast. We need to organize in a big way. We have teams meeting with staff on Capitol Hill now. But we need to ramp up grassroots efforts too ? getting constituents calling offices and flooding inboxes with letters. Right now, that requires resources we don't have.

Anything you can pitch in can make a huge difference right now. We need to raise $100,000 by the end of the month to keep our work going strong. If everyone reading this right now pitched in, we'd blow through that goal in minutes. Remember ? a donor is offering a triple match, so your contribution goes even further than usual if you give today.

We can't do this without you. Make a donation today and TRIPLE your impact ? [link removed]

Thank you for being a part of this fight, friend.
