We told you Kevin McCarthy’s GOP would do anything to weaponize Congress, and yesterday’s House Subcommittee on the Constitution hearing was yet another example. With this hearing, the GOP has put the health and safety of LGBTQ+ Americans on the line by using their power to threaten gender-affirming care, characterizing it as “radical gender ideology.” The truth is that gender-affirming care is safe and effective, in fact, it’s supported by every major medical professional association.
Republicans have drawn their line in the sand — putting their own greed and drive for political power above the safety and freedom of all Americans, including vulnerable children and families.
Mary Gay is a Ranking Member of this important subcommittee in Congress and will fight tooth and nail to defend ALL Americans’ rights, including blocking Marjorie Taylor-Greene from joining the hearing and turning it into yet another circus for clickbait.
