Dear john,
Remember to renew your Medicaid! Did you receive a yellow envelope, call, text, or email from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC)? My office wants to remind you about the new Medicaid unwinding process which ends continuous enrollment, potentially affecting your benefits. Visit YourTexasBenefits.com to complete your Medicaid renewal.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Congress passed a provision to keep Medicaid beneficiaries continuously enrolled during the Public Health Emergency (PHE). As of March 31, 2023, the Consolidated Appropriations Act delinked this continuous enrollment, "unwinding" Medicaid recipients regardless of eligibility.
Over 501,000 Texans have been disenrolled as of July 26, 2023. Do not let this happen to you. Make sure you renew or update your Medicaid by visiting YourTexasBenefits.com. Reporting changes and renewing in a timely manner ensures coverage as the Texas HHSC reviews your eligibility.
