For over 20 years EWG has led the fight against PFAS. We have mapped PFAS contamination, exposed the cover-ups by polluters like Dupont and 3M and fought to get the EPA and the government to stop the contamination. From the beginning, we’ve sounded the alarm on the seriousness of this crisis.

Our work has started to pay dividends. Thanks in large part to our advocacy and the advocacy of our supporters, the Biden administration’s EPA has proposed maximum contaminant levels for six of the most dangerous PFAS in tap water. But polluters are still adding more PFAS chemicals into our environment and we must hold them accountable.

Our work is far from over. With detectable levels of PFAS in the tap water of an estimated 200 million Americans and Congress now considering exempting certain polluters from cleaning up their PFAS contamination, we need your help now more than ever. Just look at the great work EWG has done in the past few months:

1.	We identified the best filters to get PFAS out of your drinking water at home.
2.	We are leading a campaign to stop PFAS polluters from dodging responsibility for their contamination of our environment.
3.	We released a study showing that PFAS were present in detectable levels in the vast majority of tap water samples tested across the country.
4.	We released a study of PFAS contamination in freshwater fish, finding that a single serving per year could be equal to a month of drinking water laced with the “forever chemical” PFOS.
5.	We sponsored legislation to get PFAS out of cleaners and artificial turf in California.
