I spent so much time trying to convince people that we could actually defeat Lauren Boebert in 2022.

Even the people whose job it is to get these things right got our race wrong. Every political pundit was calling our district “Safe Republican.” Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight gave me a 3% chance of defeating Boebert.

But instead of losing by 45,000 votes like Nate Silver thought we would, we went to a recount – and I lost to Boebert by just 546 votes in the closest race in the country.

None of their “models” and “algorithms” picked up what we were seeing on the ground. Democrats, Republicans, and Independent voters across the district are all ready to ditch Boebert for somebody who will actually represent them.

But I couldn’t convince donors, and ultimately, we were outspent by millions and millions of dollars in the final weeks and months.

Now, I’m running against Boebert again, and we can and will win. We must. But I’m not taking corporate PAC money – so I need grassroots donors like you to give now if we’re going to pull it off this time.
