This powerful, straightforward resolution makes three clear points. Here they are, verbatim:
(1) Democracy is at the core of the special relationship between the United States and Israel;
(2) Congress opposes actions that undermine Israel’s future as a Jewish, democratic state;
(3) Congress stands with all Israelis seeking to defend liberal democracy, judicial review, and independent political institutions acting in a system of checks and balances.
The more support we can gather for this House Resolution, the more impact it will have.
As a constituent of Eleanor Holmes Norton, you have real power to bring this resolution to her office’s attention and press for her support.
Please take a moment to call on Representative Holmes Norton to support the resolution.

Introduced the same week Netanyahu passed the first plank of his anti-democratic “reform” package – with his government promising to press forward in the coming months – this resolution couldn’t come at a more urgent time.
Congress must send a message to the pro-democracy movement that America has their backs; to the Netanyahu government that their actions are unacceptable; and to the White House that they should push back strongly in defense of democratic institutions and values.
Click here to sign and we’ll add your name to our petition. We'll also send you a contact number for Representative Holmes Norton’s office, in case you have the time to make a quick call to voice your support.
Thank you, sincerely, for your consideration.
