When applying to college, my family was working hard to make ends meet due to a family medical crisis. I relied on loans and many jobs to put myself through school—including a job as an ambulance driver.
Little did I know that this experience would only reinforce my commitment to helping others.
As an ambulance driver, I witnessed the challenges faced by those in critical need of quality healthcare. It was a transformative experience, filling me with purpose and inspiring my journey as a Physician Assistant and dedicated public servant, fighting for better healthcare outcomes for all.
Those days driving the ambulance were about more than just earning a living. They were about making a meaningful difference in people's lives. Helping others during their vulnerable times taught me the importance of empathy and determination in delivering quality healthcare to all. |
As a progressive candidate, I am passionate about making quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all residents of Delaware. |
