John -

Our campaign to stop the president’s cuts to life-saving global programs is heating up! This week, our volunteers are delivering handmade valentines to members of Congress urging them to have a heart and invest in kids.

We have our work cut out for us serving as the political voice for kids. We can’t do it without the support of people like YOU.

Please donate today and help change children’s lives for the better.

Show your love of, and commitment to, improving the lives of kids by donating today! Your donation will help amplify our work to speak out for the most vulnerable kids here at home and globally.

Dear John -

No matter how you feel about Valentine’s Day, I think we all agree that kids everywhere should be loved! That especially goes for kids in need.

We know that for too many lawmakers, the needs of children are not top priority. The president’s recent budget proposal – which dramatically cuts life-saving foreign aid funding and fails to meet children’s needs in our country – is an unfortunate example of that fact.

Today, I’m asking that you show your love for kids and help us advocate for their needs by donating.

We believe that every child deserves the best start in life. That’s why we’re working even harder this year to speak up for children who are counting on us.

From advocating against the cuts proposed in the president’s budget to showing up at candidate events and asking tough questions, we’re going to make sure that lawmakers can’t ignore the needs of kids.

But we need your support, John, to make this happen.

Will you donate today?

Our small, strong base of volunteers are so committed to kids. In fact, this month, in honor of Valentine’s Day, Save the Children Action Network (SCAN) volunteers all around the country are creating valentines to deliver to members of Congress to urge them to have a heart and invest in kids. Lawmakers won’t be able to forget the creative, handmade valentines our volunteers deliver in person later this month!

While this valentines-themed campaign is fun, our call to action to lawmakers couldn’t be more serious.

These cards to Congress will urge them to reject the president’s call for dramatic cuts to life-saving programs that help children in the most desperate circumstances overseas. And, we will also urge these lawmakers to ensure that programs like Head Start receive the resources they need to help level the playing field for kids living in poverty at home.

Congress will be hearing from our volunteers – and now we need to hear from you.

If you believe that children need a strong, powerful voice in Washington and in state capitols then please support our work with a donation today. Or, better yet, show your support for kids all year long by donating at least $10 per month! We’ll send you a special gift to show how much we love and appreciate your support.

Thank you for being a voice for kids,

Kimberly Robson
