We’re nearly one month out from WFP champion Aaron Regunberg’s competitive primary election in Rhode Island’s First Congressional District — and we have some major updates on the race:
Aaron just picked up a huge endorsement from Senator Bernie Sanders, who joins the Congressional Progressive Caucus and a growing coalition of progressive organizations and leaders backing his campaign for Congress in what many are calling one of the biggest elections of the year.

At the Working Families Party, we know that Aaron — a community organizer, climate lawyer, and former state representative who has always fought for the working people of Rhode Island — has what it takes to bring a bold progressive voice to Congress and make this a country where everyone can thrive.
But in order for him to finish his campaign strong and for us to send another WFP champion to Congress, we need to keep this momentum going.
With just over a month left until the primary in Rhode Island, we need to go all out to get Aaron’s policy vision of a country that works for all, not just the few, in front of undecided voters.
