Downtown safety improvements?

downtown traffic signals LIVE

The new traffic signals have been activated on U.S. Route 34/Washington Street at the intersections of Main and Harrison streets.

The Village's contractor is still working on synchronizing the traffic signals. In addition, there may be traffic delays as drivers get used to the new signals. Use extra caution in this downtown area whether you are driving, biking or walking.

Historical Preservation commissioner passes away

Amanda Zentmeyer Olson headshot

The Village of Oswego mourns the death of Amanda Zentmyer Olson who served on Oswego?s Historic Preservation Commission.

A fourth-generation resident of the Village, Olson?s great grandfather Earl Zentmyer and grandfather James Zentmyer both served as mayor and trustee. In addition to being appointed to the Village?s Historic Preservation Committee, Olson was active in the community where she served on School District 308?s Policy Advisory Committee and assisted with fundraising for the Kane County SWAT Team.

Our hearts go out to all of Amanda?s family and friends during this difficult time.
