John,

Everyday, Ami strives to work across the aisle to improve the lives of his constituents in Sacramento County. And he is delivering—passing measures to improve manufacturing, add new jobs, improve health care outcomes, fight climate change and more.

We wanted to make sure you are up to date with his work—read our newsletter below for updates on some of what Ami’s been up to and click here to show your support with a donation to fuel Ami’s work. [[link removed]]

As a doctor, he understands that health care is a necessity and shouldn’t be treated as a luxury in the wealthiest country on earth. He is dedicated to making sure our health care system prioritizes patients.
→ Ami hosted the U.S. Small Business Administration’s top administrator for discussions with local entrepreneurs across Sacramento County. He has supported several measures to help small businesses, because they uplift all of us, from workers to the families who rely on them. Ami knows it is essential to strengthen our local economy and invest in America.
→ Ami introduced legislation to expand reproductive health care training to medical students. This bill will fill the holes left in our health care education system after the devastating Dobbs decision just over one year ago. We must fix this issue because the upcoming generation of reproductive health care providers deserve a complete education.
→ In May, Ami introduced the Affordability is Access Act to ensure insurance companies fully cover over-the-counter birth control without any out-of-pocket costs or fees. With the FDA’s historic approval of the first-ever over-the-counter birth control pill, our next step is to guarantee it is affordable for all. Ami knows how important it is that we safeguard women’s health care and reproductive rights from the constant attacks launched against them.

John, this is just a piece of Ami’s progress in Congress. He is fighting to protect Social Security, stop gun violence, write reproductive rights into federal law, and so much more right now.
