This Saturday, AYD will be hosting our Donuts & Donate: Clothing Drive from 10am to 1:30pm at Arlington Central Library. We're partnering up with USA Clothing Drive for this project. More details on this event below.
And next Saturday, August 5th, will be our annual Membership BBQ. It's a great event to mingle with fellow YDs, sip on refreshing beverages -- basically your all-around summer fun.

AYD Donuts & Donate Clothing Drive Have a ton of clothes ready to donate just sitting around? Drop them off and receive a free donut by stopping by our Donuts & Donate: Clothing Drive on Saturday, July 29th from 10am-1:30pm over in the Quincy Room at Arlington Central Library.
We're partnering up with USA Clothing Drive for this project and we ask that you bring all donations in tightly secured trash bags.
Here are the rules for donation from USA Clothing Drive's website:
"What items do we accept?
New and gently used men’s and women’s clothing, children’s clothing, baby clothing, men’s and women’s dress shoes, boots, sneakers, jackets, belts, handbags, backpacks, jean pants, dress pants/slacks, sweaters, dresses, shirts, blouses, skirts, robes, bedsheets, towels, all hats, mittens, scarfs, gloves, wallets, jewelry, watches, uniforms, jerseys, new disposable and cloth diapers.
We do not accept: Items from thrift stores, flea markets, yard sales, books, furniture, appliances, games, sorted merchandise that has removed better quality items from bags, curtain and pillows, baby carriages/bassinets, cribs, and strollers, or other household items, items with holes or rips, stains, mold or items that are wet and/or have an odor."

AYD 2023 Membership BBQ
Join us for our annual AYD Membership BBQ on Saturday, August 5th from 6-9pm. We’ll have food, beverages*, games, a photo booth and more! We hope to see old friends, current friends, and new ones as we welcome back AYD alumni, current members, and anyone that wants to join. Location will be given upon RSVP!
Tickets are $30 for non-dues paying AYDs (35 & under), FREE for dues paying members (and dues are ONLY $25 for the whole year), $15 for neighboring YDs, and $35 for guests 36+.

Your yearly $25 membership dues make it possible for AYD to host monthly events, plan campaign activities across our Commonwealth, cover costs to the annual Virginia Young Dems Convention for our dues-paying members, coordinate with and donate to our local Democratic partners, keep our website, social media, and communication tools up to date, and so much more!
