John,
We all have the right to breathe clean air and drink clean water. As a voice for a district with frontline communities facing environmental racism, I know many families whose water and air are poisoned by corporate polluters.
That’s why I want to support the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center. This important nonprofit organization works with communities of color and low-income communities, providing no-cost and low-cost legal services to stop dangerous air and water pollution.
Alongside impacted residents, they’re holding corporate polluters and government agencies accountable for environmental injustices.
Please donate $5 or more today to the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center to fight for environmental justice and help families living with unsafe levels of pollution.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your secure donation will go through immediately, with 100% going directly to Great Lakes Environmental Law Center
Thank you so much,
Rashida

John,
My congressional district has some of the worst air quality in the world, due to an extreme concentration of corporate polluters that profit off of poisoning our air and water.
Because of this, Metro Detroit has some of the highest asthma rates in the country. Within Detroit, Black people are three times likelier to be hospitalized from asthma than white people. This is environmental racism. And it’s getting worse: asthma rates are on the rise.
That’s why the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center’s work is so urgent.
The nonprofit organization is taking on environmental injustice in Michigan, working with communities of color and low-income communities to stop dangerous air and water pollution. By providing no-cost or low-cost legal services, they help nonprofit organizations and individuals that otherwise may not be able to afford to hire an environmental lawyer.
Can you chip in now to support the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center’s work to protect disenfranchised communities from toxic pollution? Let’s fight for our right to breathe clean air and drink clean water.
I grew up thinking it was normal that I couldn’t play outside on some days because it was too polluted. But it’s not normal. Where pollution occurs is a policy choice, and it’s environmental racism.
As a voice for a district with frontline communities facing environmental racism, I advocate for policy solutions, like removing lead from all contaminated pipes and changing the EPA’s permitting process for polluting projects in order to put people’s health first.
I also work alongside grassroots movements, and I know that we need leaders at all levels making the changes our communities deserve. That’s why I’m supporting the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center and their fight to hold corporate polluters and government agencies accountable for environmental injustices.
Please donate $5 or more today to the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center to fight for environmental justice and help families living with unsafe levels of pollution.
