Friends,

This week I had the privilege to speak at YAF's National Conservative Student Conference, where I spoke to young people about the importance of conservative principles and how to properly debate the radical left.

I also questioned HHS Secretary Becerra on the safety of unaccompanied minors at the border, and continued to message on the importance of defeating the Mexican drug cartels for the protection of American citizens, and Mexican citizens.

Sincerely,

Winning Is Persuading. This Is How You Actually Win In Politics:

Image

What should be the goal of political activism? Winning, I hope. So what does it mean to actually win? If you want to win, you have to persuade. That means making arguments based in sound logic and facts, striking the right tone, and acting strategically. Dying on the hill might look cool, but if you actually want to change somebody’s mind, you have to do more than that. This is how we win elections, win on policy, and win the culture war. The conservative movement is the protector of our liberties and the founding principles that made this country so exceptional. That is a responsibility we should not take lightly.

My Message To The Mexican Government: Let Us Help You Defeat The Cartels

Image

The Mexican drug cartels are actively at war with the Mexican military and the United States. They have operational control over our southern border, take advantage of the immigration crisis, and kill thousands of people a year with fentanyl. The cartels are a serious threat that hasn’t been taken seriously. That’s why this week we held our first meetings for the Task Force to Combat the Mexican Drug Cartels — a bipartisan task force where we will craft real, effective legislation to target the cartels. We are ready to work with Mexico on this. We have a common enemy here, and we have the resources to defeat them. Let’s work together to prevent the deaths of both of our citizens.

"It's Not Offensive. It's A Fact." This Is Why 'Gender-Affirming Care' Is A Social Contagion

Image

The idea of “gender-affirming care” is an entirely new phenomenon from a bunch of radical ideologues. And the numbers show exactly what it really is — a social contagion. What do I mean by that? Kids are increasingly influenced by their peers to identify as a different gender. The data doesn’t lie. Prescriptions for puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones more than doubled between 2017 and 2021. That’s not the only thing that’s shocking. Just since 2007 the number of pediatric gender clinics in the United States has risen from 1 to well over 70. That’s a huge problem. If the peer pressure around our kids wasn’t enough, it’s easier than ever to access these life-changing procedures. The research doesn’t lie — so if calling this transgender movement a “social contagion” offends you, take a look at the multiple systematic reviews showing that there is low evidence for clinical benefit, not to mention extreme risks posed by gender-altering procedures for minors.

Powering the Future: Why the World Will Need American Energy | Arjun Murti

Image

North America holds enough oil and gas reserves to provide cheap, clean, and reliable energy to the rest of the globe for many decades – so why isn’t it? Energy analyst Arjun Murti breaks down the key factors at play: capital investors who are wary of uncertain regulatory environments, countries like China and India that won’t give up on coal, and a little-known group called the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (which is actually implementing all the terrible ideas that groups like World Economic Forum only talk about). Listen now on Apple, Spotify, YouTube, and Rumble.

Breitbart: Watch Live: YAF National Conservative Student Conference Day 2

YAF describes the conference as a “week-long program where you hear from conservative leaders, meet other conservative college students, and learn more conservative ideas than you will your whole college career.” Scheduled to speak on Tuesday are former Gov. Scott Walker, Enes Kanter Freedom, and Rep. Dan Crenshaw, among others.

The Texas Standard: The bipartisan appeal of psychedelic research into treating veteran PTSD

Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw has sponsored a bill in the U.S. House to fund research on drugs like psilocybin and MDMA for veteran mental health treatment. Co-sponsored by well known House Democrats Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ro Khanna, the bipartisan backing speaks to interest in how psychedelics compare to typical treatments like antidepressants.
