National Senior Citizens Day
It's time to celebrate the reason for Hurst Senior Activities Center! National Senior Citizens Day is a great opportunity to let your loved ones know how much you care and recognize their accomplishments. Members of the Hurst Senior Activities Center can pick up a surprise giveaway item starting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, August 21, while supplies last.
Social Dances
Dance the night away or listen to some fabulous music at our social dances! Open to seniors 55 and over; membership is not required. Invite your friends to join you for an evening out! Tickets are $5 at the door.?

Pupsicles in the Park
In preparation for National #strutyourmutt Day, staff is bringing some tasty treats for your pup at the Hurst Dog Park! Treats are free and available from 8:30-10:00 a.m. on July 31. For more information, please visit our website.?

?Kids Triathlon ? September 23, 2023 | 7:30 a.m.
A fun twist on the traditional triathlon allows kids ages 5-14 to complete a short run and?bike course and cool off on a fun water slide. Participants will receive a race shirt, a free Kona Ice, and other fun goodies. This FREE event opens for registration on August 21. For more information, visit our website below.?

Hurst Aquatics?
Doggie Dive In
Bring your four-legged friends for some fun in the sun at Central Aquatics Center on August 12 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.! The cost is $10/person. Dogs are free, with a maximum of two dogs per adult. The concession stand is open. All dogs must be spayed/neutered. Proof of up-to-date vaccinations, including a current rabies shot, is required upon entrance to the event. Slides and some features are not available during this event. Weekends Only
Beginning August 6, our aquatics facilities is operating on a weekend only schedule.? Chisholm Aquatics Center is open Saturdays & Sundays from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., after August 6. For more information about the summer pool schedule, please visit our Aquatics website.?

There is no catfish stocking in August due to the extreme heat. Check back in September for upcoming dates.?
