Dear John,

In just two weeks we took over 150 actions for peace towards our goal of 500 for the summer! The Summer of Peace is taking hold, thanks to you! 

The timing couldn't be more perfect. Last Friday, Oppenheimer and Barbie (#Barbenheimer) premiered! A movie that shows the world the dangers of nuclear weapons AND a movie that has women all over the world showing up in pink? It couldn't be more CODEPINK! Naturally, we had to go. We brought our petition against nuclear weapons to the showings of Oppenheimer to get people who were enraged by the film into the peace movement. We have over 400 new CODEPINKers!

We went ahead and made it easy for you to do so as well, just print out some of these PDFs we made for you and hand them out to people outside the theater. Make sure to send us a picture of you handing them out so we can count it towards the 500 actions for peace! 

Other than #Barbenheimer... this is what we've been up to: 

Our incredible phone banking team has made over 1,000 calls to members of Congress to call for negotiations, not escalation in Ukraine! 

Our Co-Founder Jodie Evans got arrested with Ben Cohen of Ben & Jerry's ice cream calling for freedom for Julian Assange. 

CODEPINK's Latin America team and DC members rallied against imperialism in Latin America in front of the White House.

Peace activists in Madison, Wisconsin had a packed week. They tabled at a farmers market, had visible messaging for peace on a college campus, and had a peace teach-in! 

In DC, CODEPINK covered the capitol in PINK and made it clear that the people want peace! 

In Chicago, we tabled and asked people what they would spend the $1 trillion defense budget on! 

CODEPINKer Julie in Raleigh, North Carolina is bringing peace messaging to her neighborhood! Go Julie! Peace starts in our neighborhoods.
