This week, Emgage PAC, the nation's largest political action committee for Muslim Americans, will be announcing our presidential endorsement for the 2020 election.

Emgage has conducted a comprehensive operation to arrive at an endorsement for President of the United States of America. The process has three goals; transparency, consensus, and accountability.  We surveyed our broad membership, questioned the candidates, and fact checked responses. This process is now distilled into a nomination based upon the values of the members and the issues they care most about. Candidates were questioned on their position regarding:

  • Legislation that would make an executive order to ban an entire people from entering the United States subject to checks and balances
  • Steps to make sure the Muslim American community has a real voice and not just the optics of participation in public policy
  • Concrete plans to reduce mass incarceration in America
  • Tangible solutions toward saving our environment
  • Peaceful protest of foreign government policy on American soil, including college campuses 
  • Foreign policy actions that would help bring stability around the globe
