John,
Before your inbox starts overflowing with last-minute July fundraising requests, I wanted to reach out to let you know something that’s been on my mind.
Throughout this month, I’ve noticed a dip in energy across the team. And I get it, it’s summertime and folks are a little less interested in being glued to their phone or computer screen.
The problem that arises during this ‘summer slump’ is, with fewer folks tuning in, we’ve got some catching up to do in these last few days of the month.
Now, I’m not going to get dramatic here, because we’re tracking just $5,901 short of what we need to raise from our emails to reach our goal.
Spread that number across the team and over the next four days before our July deadline, and it won’t take much from supporters to make an impact on our people-powered movement.
In reality, a $1 donation from 5,901 people means a lot more than one big check because it means we can continue powering this campaign in a way that reflects our values — and together, we know we can achieve so much.
The key to our team’s success is thanks to people coming together and giving a couple dollars or whatever they can to ensure we have the means to defend our fundamental rights, solve the Black maternal health crisis, protect our hard-earned Social Security, lower costs for working families, make quality health care more accessible and everything in between.
John, with four days until our end-of-month deadline, will you chip in a few dollars to help us close the gap and reach our July goal? Thanks in advance.
I’m grateful for your support as we do everything in our power to make life better for working families in IL-14 and across the states. Thank you, John.
Warmly,
Lauren
