John, I've been in Congress for just over six months, and I've had the opportunity to meet some really incredible people – including IL Sen. Robert Peters, whose bill just made Illinois the first state in the nation to end cash bail! |
|
|
John, my passion for the community started when I was just seven years-old, volunteering with my family at our church's shelter, and asking men old enough to be my grandfather about how they ended up there.
That same passion brought me all the way to the Illinois House, where I fought for reproductive freedom, established an elected school board for Chicago Public Schools, and expanded Medicaid access to seniors regardless of immigration status.
That same passion brought me here, to Congress, where I am a strong advocate for immigration reform, affordable housing, and protecting our democracy from far-right extremists.
But passion alone won't ensure that Republicans won't take my seat in 2024. To set my next campaign up for success, my team and I are relying on donations from our friends and neighbors. Our End of Month Fundraising Goal is the perfect opportunity to show your support – will you chip in and help us reach our goal?
