Straight from the Atlanta Journal Constitution:
Georgia GOP Elects Election Deniers to Key Posts
John, we hate to be glib, but this is just teeing Georgia up for more voter suppression — in what is already Ground Zero of Republican voter suppression laws in America.
According to the Journal Constitution, "A host of hardline conservative activists who support Donald Trump’s election fraud lies were elected to top party leadership posts by the more than 2,000 delegates to Georgia's GOP convention."
That's right, John. In a state whose draconian voter suppression efforts have already become the playbook for states like Florida and Texas to copy — now the Georgia GOP is explicitly placing election deniers into top party leadership positions.
Which makes one thing crystal clear: Georgia Republicans are an ongoing threat to Americans right to vote.
John, this is why the work our Voter Protection Team is doing is so important. We're working directly with Voting Rights Advocates to PROTECT the right to vote for Americans nationwide — with voter contact and mobilization efforts, and by fighting back against Republican vote-suppression laws ahead of the 2024 election.
But we need your help to keep the effort up!
