We're experiencing a bit of a problem – it's what many campaigns call a "summer slump." Typically campaigns see a dip in fundraising during the summer months as people spend more time outside with their friends and family and less time online.
But it hasn't just been the summer months that have been tough for fundraising this year. A report in Politico shows that all grassroots giving is down nearly 50 percent compared to the first half of 2021.
Between a slower year for fundraising overall and the summer slump, we're at risk of not reaching our July fundraising goal. This will be one of the most competitive House races in the entire country next year, so we can't afford to fall behind now.
