Dear friend,

Millions of Americans are at risk of drinking a toxic pesticide that can turn male frogs into female frogs. And Trump’s EPA is about to give the pesticide industry the green light to keep spraying.

More than 70 million pounds of atrazine are dumped on American farmland each year, running off into the rivers, lakes and streams that we rely on for drinking water. Atrazine has been linked to serious health risks like cancer, shorter pregnancy and hormone disruption.

Trump’s EPA is still determined to protect pesticide industry profits and greenlight atrazine again, ignoring scientific studies linking atrazine to human health harms. But we have a chance to make our voices heard.

The EPA is asking to hear from the public until March 1 before it makes its final decision on atrazine! We need to overwhelm the agency with 50,000 comments before the deadline if we’re going to be able to force the EPA to take action on atrazine!

The Trump EPA has consistently put chemical industry profits ahead of human health. Just take a look at their track record:

* Recently declared glyphosate safe, claiming glyphosate poses “no risk of concerns to human health,” ignoring growing scientific evidence that links glyphosate to cancer in humans.
* Cancelled a scheduled ban of chlorpyrifos, a neurotoxic pesticide that can cause brain damage in kids. Even its chief manufacturer recently announced plans to stop selling the brain-damaging pesticide in the U.S., but the Trump EPA still insists on keeping it legal.
* Repealed drinking water protections for waterways that provide tap water for more than 117 million Americans.

We can’t allow the Trump administration to continuing promoting pesticide industry profits at the expense of our health and our environment. It’s time to fight back, but we only have until March 1 to make our voices heard.

Stand with EWG and tell the EPA to protect our health and ban hormone-disrupting atrazine! We have a right to safe drinking water!
