John, when I first started calling Ron DeSantis a fascist, I got blowback from folks in both parties. But now, DeSantis isn’t even trying to hide it.
Just a few days ago, his campaign retweeted a video where he is shown with a Nazi symbol. No, that isn’t a hyperbole. He quite literally did that.
This is what we’re up against in Florida: literal fascism. Our governor isn’t using his power to govern. He’s abusing his power to stoke hate and fear into vulnerable communities.
John, I refuse to “tone down” my language because we need to call out facism when we see it.. But I need you to stand with me against whatever attacks DeSantis and his cronies launch against us next. Can you stand with me and chip in $27 now to fuel our movement against DeSantis’ facism in Florida? >>
John, here’s just a few examples of DeSantis’ blatant fascism, other than sharing Nazi imagery:
❌ He’s trying to legislate LGBTQ+ people out of existence with legislation like his “Don’t Say Gay” law.
❌ He’s pushing book bans that would erase Black and brown history in our schools.
❌ He’s even defending curriculums in schools that discuss the “benefits” of slavery.
If you disagree with Ron, he’s going to abuse his power to close down your business, take over your school, and unconstitutionally fire you. That’s the textbook definition of fascism, John.
I’m using all of my energy to stand up to DeSantis and his fascist policies. But I need everyone reading this (including you, John!) to stand with me, and be ready for whatever DeSantis throws at us next. If you’re with me in the fight against fascism, please chip in $27 before midnight. >>
Together in this fight,
Maxwell Frost
