New England Regional Organizer Nadav David is leaving RG after over 3 years on staff. We’re so sad to see him go, and we’re so excited to continue hearing from him in his new role building and supporting the solidarity economy! We wanted to share some shady appreciations for our comrade as he makes this move in roles and other moves in life.
Here’s 3 things we’ll miss about ND
1.
Nadav catfishing major agenda items as quick and snappy! Have you ever heard of a quick and snappy? We (BBLD) haven’t either thanks to our loquacious and visionary thinker Nadav. If Nadav has placed a simple “Wall Street Divestment” 5 mins on your team agenda, only to identify that this is a full meeting topic, you may be entitled at least $1 or an early meeting departure coupon. We will miss you Nadav, but we won’t miss needing to next action you bringing back an accurate time estimate for your meeting topics 😭
2.
Nadav’s unwavering commitment to a mediocre NBA franchise Before the beam was lit this year, Nadav proudly represented the Sacramento K*ngs like it was 2004. While we don’t support Monarchy’s he even admirably was one of the folks who donated money to local Sacramento organizations when the Kings continued their practice of losing between 2006 - 2022. The undeniable belief that winning is possible, even with the Sacramento Kings is truly admirable.
3.
Nadav’s heartfelt enthusiasm for movement tees. Whose “fire the bosses” or “let this radicalize you” shirts are we going to look at on Zooms now? If you have a merch sale fundraiser, we highly recommend that you reach out to Nadav!
All jokes aside, Nadav we’ve appreciated your grounded, deliberate, spirited approach to moving us closer to winning RG’s mission. We hope your next team knows how lucky they are to work with such a governance loving, spreadsheet hugging, playlist making, facilitating teammate. Congratulations Nadav, and we’ll miss you! BBLD

CHAPTER UPDATES
Bryn, Paige, Andrew, Ken Jon, Francesca, Carley, and Natalie came together in Cleveland while Jess zoomed in from Toledo. [[link removed]] Ohio Chapter
RG Ohio had a beautiful in-person get-together on May 29th to workshop money stories and discuss our priorities as a chapter for the coming months. A lovely new member Carley joined us from Columbus, and our beloved departing member Andrew got a chance to visit Lake Erie before moving away. Most importantly, we finally remembered to take a picture together!
[[link removed]] Portland, OR
RG Portland is re-emerging after a few sleepy years and we are excited to see how much interest there is from young people in Portland! We hosted our backyard Summer Kickoff in July where we shared money stories, invited in folks new to RG, and committed to taking action together! People left the event with RG Posters that are going up around the city as well as commitments to participate in a Fall Praxis Group and plug in with organizations in the area such as PDX Housing Solidarity Project. Our connections to local RG alums and other regional chapters have helped us learn and grow and we are excited to keep the energy up this summer!

RGLA had a generative in-person community gathering/organizer training with activist and organizer Chanelle Gallant. We ate delicious tacos, wore a collection of hats (literally), dreamed of future directions, and meditated on the differences between organizing and mobilizing.
We’ve continued our work with the Tongva Taraxat Paxaavxa Conservancy—over the past year members of RGLA have been involved in removing literally 30 tons of debris and hoard left on the property when the land was rematriated.
In July RGLA was thrilled to be community sponsor of LA Co-op Lab’s Solidarity Economy House Party! LA Co-Op Lab [[link removed]] is a rad organization in LA that serves as a hub and training ground to explore and invent ways to build LA’s capacity for worker ownership. A crew of RGLAers joined others to eat delicious food, vibe to throwback jams, and meet new friends supporting worker rights and self-determination in LA, all provided by folks from worker owned cooperatives.

RG's member-led Fund Abortion Now! Team is still looking for new members who have experience in or want to learn research/design skills. Check out this testimonial from a campaign member on what their experience in FAN has been like:
"Being a part of the Fund Abortion Now! campaign has been a highlight of my organizing in the past year! I've been able to contribute existing skills and learn new ones as well. Being a part of the Fundraising sub-group led to me learning important fundraising skills that I was then able to leverage for my local chapter to raise over $10,000 for a rapid response mutual aid ask. It's been so energizing to be a part of such a knowledgeable and dedicated campaign team."
Please reach out to [email protected] [[email protected]] if you're interested in joining the team!

For almost two years, a team of RG members with the help and support of Nadav (we will miss you!!!) have been forming the Solidarity Economy / Transformative Investment Principles (SE/TIPs) member team. We are excited to share and *celebrate* this Partnership Proposal [[link removed]] with the rest of the RG community where we formally approved two incredible partners: New Economy Coalition (NEC) [[link removed]] and Solidarity Economy Principles Project (SEPP) [[link removed]] . This is the first major decision / vote that our group has made together so THANK YOU to everyone who participated, gave input, expressed concerns, and offered critique for how we can improve our processes.
Since working with the Solidarity Economy Principles Project, we've also received $9,830 in pledges from RG members supporting SEPP! THANK YOU to everyone who gave and participated in the amazing work that SEPP is doing.
