Congressman and Republican U.S. Senate candidate Jim Banks, who will provide the keynote address, has represented Indiana's Third District in the U.S. House of Representatives since 2016. He is a member of the House Armed Services Committee, the House Committees on Education and Workforce, and was appointed to the newly created House Select Committee on China. In 2020, Congressman Banks was appointed as chairman of the Republican Study Committee, Congress’s largest conservative caucus.
Bowie Mayor Pro Tem and City Councilwoman Roxy Ndebumadu, who will provide remarks during the graduation ceremony for the 2023 cohort of our Republican diversity leadership series, became the youngest woman elected to serve on the Bowie, Maryland, City Council at age 26, and is the first African American woman to represent her district. Mayor Pro Tem Ndebumadu is a Rodel and Vital Voices Fellow and serves on the Maryland State Board of Waterworks and Affordable Housing.
