Fixed Term
There are two fixed term positions to work 37 hours per week as a Social Worker in the Citywide Safeguarding Team, based at Mary Potter Centre.
These positions are only open to Social Workers at Level 2 and above; that is, applicants who have successfully completed the ASYE (previously PQ Consolidation Award or Stage 1 Higher Specialist Award (Mental Health)). *
The starting salary is 28,785 rising to 30,507 on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time).* *Candidates could earn up to 32,878 depending on PQ accreditation.*

The City Wide Safeguarding team are a dynamic and enthusiastic team who work with adults and older people who are at risk and are experiencing adult abuse. The team work within the Care Act to ensure that appropriate support and interventions are in place. Making Safeguarding Personal is a key element in this role to ensure that the persons outcomes are considered and this is balanced with risk. Multi-agency working is also essential in supporting the vulnerable person in protection planning and minimising risk. *Essential Requirements*
* CQSW/ CSS/ Dip SW, Degree Qualification, and Social Work England Registration;
* Knowledge and experience of relevant social care legislation and Government Guidance;
* Experience of risk assessment, safeguarding investigations and understand the need to keep vulnerable adults safe;
* Ability and experience of working with a range of agencies and other professionals and forming positive working relationships.
