July has been a slower fundraising month for us than we expected, John.

We can still make up this deficit, but only if we really hustle for the last few days of this month. We still have about $22,000 to raise to hit our $75,000 online goal, so we have to ask if you can make your first contribution right away:

Now, we’re not going to tell you that the sky is falling when it isn’t. That’s not the kind of campaign Josh wants to run. But we WILL be honest about what this means:

If we can’t close our funding gap, we’ll have to cut back on what we planned to do in August. That means Josh might have to pull back on hiring the all-star team that will get us over the finish line next November and that our Campaign Manager, Jeff, will have to take a second look at where we can pinch pennies in the months ahead.

John, in a race as close as ours, NONE of that is an option. Anywhere we cut back is an opportunity for Mark Robinson and the NC GOP to pull ahead.
