Friend,
Tribes and Indigenous communities are on the frontlines of climate change. Despite historically contributing the least to climate change, these communities disproportionately bear the burden of its consequences.
One step in rectifying this injustice comes via the Inflation Reduction Act, with its unprecedented $720 million to support climate resilience and clean energy funding for Tribes.
But what does tapping into IRA funding look like in practice?
Next week, I'll join climate advocates and Indigenous leaders to discuss how Tribal governments and Indigenous groups can take advantage of these federal investments.

We're going to talk about rural electrification funding in the PACE program, loan programs through the Department of Energy, and the grid resilience grant program.
(For a discussion on other key programs, check out the recording from our last event.)
The promise of a clean energy transition and safer climate future hinges upon ensuring resources reach the people and places that need them the most.
I hope to see you online next Thursday, August 3 at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT.
Sincerely,
Mattea Mrkusic
