Special Arrival

As a special member of our San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance family,
we're honored to share with you that two critically endangered
Sumatran tiger cubs were recently born to mother Diana and father
Dumai, at the

San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Arriving into the world on July 13, these
are the first cubs born at Tull Family Tiger Trail since 2016, and

we know you'll join in our excitement as we welcome this special
duo.

Over the next few months, Diana and her cubs will likely spend most of
their time bonding with one another in their den. Wildlife care
specialists are closely monitoring the three of them, and supporting
Diana as a first-time mom as she settles into her new role. And soon,
the youngsters will be out and about-playing and pouncing, with
mom close by their side.

The newborns are already making an impact as a beacon of hope for
their critically endangered species. With fewer than 400 Sumatran
tigers estimated to be left in their native habitat, every birth is a
vital addition to the global population-and your support makes
critical conservation efforts possible for these big cats through our
Asian Rainforest Conservation Hub.
